Pepper Lunch

ABOUT PEPPER LUNCH
Pepper Lunch (ペッパーランチ Peppaa-ranchi) is a "fast-steak" restaurant concept that originated in Japan in 1994.
It was created by Japanese chef and inventor, Mr. Kunio Ichinose who wanted to serve quality, fast food without the need to train a chef for years.
At Pepper Lunch diners get to cook their own food over a patented electromagnetic plate that is heated up to 260 degrees Celsius within one minute.
Choice cuts of beef, chicken, pork and salmon are served with rice and vegetables for guests to cook and season using flavors of teriyaki, onion sauce, honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) or garlic soy sauce (Karakuchi)—and that dash of freshly ground pepper to give you that delicious, flavor-filled meal.
FAQs
Q1: Is Pepper Lunch originally from Japan?
Yes. Pepper Lunch was founded in Japan. Since 1994, this popular fast food steak house has grown to more than 200 branches in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, China, Thailand and the Philippines.
Q2: Can we have dinner at Pepper Lunch?
A: Yes of course. Pepper Lunch is a name thought up by the founder, Mr. Kunio Ichinose. But we are open from brunch to after dinner, depending on the mall hours.
Q3: What would you recommend for a first order?
A: Most popular is Beef Pepper Rice and Shimofuri Pepper Steak from Australia.
Shimofuri means "marbled"
Q4: What if I don't eat red meat??
A: We have the best chicken teriyaki in town. Some people prefer salmon with or without teriyaki sauce. We have really good salads and desserts.
Q5: What if I don't like pepper?
A: Just ask the cashier to hold the pepper, no problem. You can add as pepper on the table if you wish.
Q6: What if I don't know how to cook?
A: Our staff would be glad to help you, just ask
Q7:Can I take home your cute orange chopsticks?
A: Please don't. They're imported from Hong Kong and we don't get them all the time. Thanks for understanding.

Eat Well Eat PL
When I first tried Pepper Lunch I knew that it will be one of my favorite restaurants. I can't explain why but I just fell in love. :) I always go to Alabang Town Center when ever I have PL cravings but last Friday, I tried the newly opened PL at Robinsons Ermita. And every time that I visit the store I always make sure to order those main dish that I haven't tried before and I always say that next visit I will try the other varieties of Shake Shake Salad but I always end up ordering Kani ShaShakeSalad. haha Ang sarap kasi eh! Promise next visit I will. Sad that the Angus Beef meals are not available that day. So I ordered the Curry Beef Pepper Rice with CHEESE. Yes with cheese! I didn't know curry will go well with cheese. They made my tummy so HAPPY. Hope that they will have the Angus Beef meal available next time.

P.S. If you will visit Pepper Lunch for the first time and don't have any idea on what to do when they serve the food, try to ask the servers or read the paper around the plate to see how to cook your food. So you will not end up saying "Ay bakit hilaw. (a face with question marks all over)"  :)
